As Vice President of Milliken Advisors, Travis Spainhour leads business development, client engagement, and operational strategy across the firm’s land management platform. With more than 25 years of experience in the forest and land management industry, he oversees complex land management initiatives and ensures consistent execution across teams and regions. Travis began his career with the South Carolina Forestry Commission before transitioning to the private sector in 2003, where he spent 18 years with SCANA managing more than 40,000 acres focused on forestry, real estate, wildlife, conservation, and facilities management. He joined Milliken Advisors in 2020 and was promoted to Director of Nature-Based Solutions in 2021, leading integrated conservation, solar, carbon, and wetland initiatives that maximize benefits for landowners, wildlife, and local communities. Promoted to Vice President in 2024, he continues to work closely with firm leadership and the Nature-Based Solutions team on client strategy and portfolio execution.
Travis holds a Master of Science in Forest Resource Management from Clemson University and is an active South Carolina Registered Forester and Licensed Real Estate Agent. He resides in West Columbia, South Carolina with his wife, Linda, and their two children. Travis is actively involved in his community and serves on the Lexington County Zoning Variance Board and the Low Country Land Trust Board, reflecting his belief in giving back through professional and civic engagement.
